I was born in
Scunthorpe (North Lincolnshire) on 26th August 1971, I
was given up for adoption straight away as my natural mother, due to
family circumstances was unable to keep me.
My home was to
become a quiet little village in the middle of Lincolnshire called
Mareham-le-Fen. I went to the local primary school and then onto
Gartree Secondary School in Coningsby. At the age of about 8, I
developed a passion for football, in particular Nottingham Forest.
My and my dad became season ticket holders and every other Saturday
would make the 120 mile round trip to see our beloved “Forest”
play. Even now at the age of 33, still follow them, admittedly not
attending as many matches as I would like to but still keep up to
date with all the club news.
I now live in
Ireland, with my Fiancé
Mark, who I met whilst working in Leicester
– we were both contracting at the same company and struck up an
incredible friendship, Mark is not only my fiancé, but my best
friend and sole mate. We both have no regrets about leaving the UK
and moving to Ireland, even though we both have family still there,
we are only a short 45minute flight away. The Irish way of life is
more relaxed and the people are so friendly.
I have now also
signed up for Cryonics like Mark, I am quite fascinated in the
subject.
We both love
Ireland and whether we stop here or not, we are in the
process of buying a house in Cork and a flat in Wexford.
Our new home
will give us plenty of space and there is a possibility that I may
take up breeding cats, my favourite breeds are Ragdolls and British
Blues but we will have to see what happens.
