Hi you are reading about Mark Stephen Walker. I was
Born on March the 28th 1962 in
Mount Pleasant hospital Llanelli. This is in
South Wales UK. I moved to what was a small town called Burntwood in
Staffordshire
UK
when I was about four and lived there until September 2004. I am
currently living and working in Ireland with my Fiancée
Karen .
I met Karen while working in Leicester, we started off as good friends
and it wasn't until around February 2004 that we became an item. Not
long after this I was asked to go to Ireland to follow up the work I was
doing and Karen decided to come with me. We haven't really looked back
since then and life just gets better and better. We have been looking
around Ireland for the best place to buy a house, which has been
difficult with us both being contractors. However as most of our work
will probably be in Cork and some in Dublin, we are buying our main
house in Cork with a few acres of land we are buying an apartment in
Wexford. We do have some contract work lined up in the States however
and may go out there for a few years, we would then have to look at
renting out our property in Ireland. We are also making plans to get
married, we haven't yet decided whether we are going to get married in a
castle or on some exotic beach somewhere.
I earn my living
contracting as an Automation Analyst. For those who do not know, in simple
terms this involves controlling systems, which could include valves, motors,
pumps and conveyors Etc with a computer known as a PLC
(Programmable
Logic Controller). I have worked on projects such as Ironbridge Power Station,
Bass Brewery, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as well as Heathrow
and Gatwick Airport Conveyor Systems. I am primarily involved with writing and
testing the software for these systems, although I do get involved in the
electrical side especially During commissioning.
As well as my main income I am also
involved in other ways of making money to secure my families future.
As I no longer have any confidence in the
pension system I have started to look at buy to let, which will hopefully
provide for my family and I in the later years. W currently have four
properties on the go and this year 2005 we plan on getting this up to at
least ten. We are now thinking along the lines of buying several
properties abroad.
